Who Invented The Limo?

I so heard it was invented by a Puertorrican man in New York. He had worked on his limo car service and wanted it to look different so he cut the chassis and made it longer. This man never got a patent for his idea and had no clue he had been the spearhead of the limo car service invention. There is no recorded name as to who this man is or was. I would suggest an investigation take place in the New York area to finally give credit to whoever deserves it. I cannot state as a fact that my version is true. I got this information from some 4 people that lived in the NY area and that is the way their story goes more or less. As I understand the first reported limo car service appeared in Arkansas but the clever man lived in NY.
